Happy Christmas!

If you have the busiest, most enjoyable Christmas you have ever had, you must still find 26 minutes and 18 seconds to watch this video! It is my Christmas present to you all!

Just2Easy has to be, without any doubt in my mind, the very best Web 2.0 application for use in schools that I have ever seen. I'm not even going to take up my time trying to tell you about it - words alone would not suffice. Let me simply say that it is an incredibly powerful, yet simple to use, document processor. Think of it as being a... Well, I'll let Just2Easy say it themselves!

It's amazing, it's free, and it's got to be the most versatile tool for education made available online! I just can't wait to show this to my students! Please watch the video, try the application, and feed back to me via the comments facility below.

Oh, you really have to take a look at this...

...and make sure your students know about it! I've had so little time for blogging recently, but I'm supervising a detention for juvenile miscreants at the moment, and have been revisiting my delicious account, looking at websites I've not even seen yet, but which I'd bookmarked some time ago. It was there I came across the Custom Sign Generator! "Thousands Of Web 2.0 Image Generators ". It'd take you a long time to investigate them all - how about getting a group of keen students to work their way through the list, writing a very short review as they go (better still, writing a 160 character review on Blippr for others to read and benefit from)? And give the students some Credits for doing all that work for you - not that they won't enjoy it!

Utilities like this are so great for schools, and for kids of all ages! They will just love them!

E2Bn E-Safety Conference

It was a great pleasure and privilege for me to speak at this conference today.  Thanks to Kathy Olsson for trusting me with the responsibility, and thanks to all of the delegates, particularly those who came and chatted, asked questions and so on.  The whole day was really good, as E2Bn events always are!  I am so looking forward to their major annual conference in the summer!

Below is a link to a box from which you can download today's presentation and slide notes, as well as a host of other resources which you may find of interest, all with e-safety relevance.  Some of my videos are too large for me to place in this box, so visit the Orange website to get the free DVDs from them.

Please add comments at the bottom of the post!
