This morning I experimented with Wallwisher, and was encouraged by the results. Wallwisher allows the user to create a "wall" upon which they and others post comments. Images, audio or video can be attached using URL links. Simple as that! Is it useful in class? Yes, I think it is!
I used one I show here just to get feedback from a Year 7 class. For strange reasons, they've not had much ICT this past year, so I wanted to find out if that had affected their impression of the subject. They added their thoughts to the wall, and the wall became a discussion starter about what they had achieved, what they had enjoyed (and not), and what they thought they ought to be doing next year (when we will endeavour to give them back the time they lost this year). And I can think of lots of times where this kind of brainstorming platform will be useful in my lessons, and I suspect that the same would be true of teachers of other subjects.
Wallwisher - what do you think?
